A Trip Home And Farther

January 28 2011.  I arrived home yesterday, and got to spend my day home doing important things.  I got to sleep in.  Then my mom and I went to Bocaza, my favorite place to go for lunch when I was in high school.  Not so great anymore.  After lunch we went to The King's Speech, which was very good, and definitely is deserving of the Oscars it is up for.  But the crowd made me feel like I was at the Early Bird Special movie edition, so not quite the atmosphere I was going for.  Then when we left the movie I spoke in an English accent for about an hour, while we grocery shopped.  My mom wanted to stock me up, because she had some coupons.  I am thankful, but she is a little nutty with those things.  Then we swung by my grandparents house, the whole reason I came home this weekend is for my grandma's birthday.  After that we came home and my mom and I started to sort my pictures from my New York adventure, click here for a trip down memory lane, more so my memory lane, but if you read it in the past it might be nice to skim through as well.  We then went to dinner at il Bistro around 8, which is kind of late for me, but really late for my parents.  It was wonderful as always.  Then we came home and my mom and I wrapped up the New York project.  And then I started going through my room and all of my stuff.  So much crap, but at the same time so many memories.  I had letters from elementary school through college.  I had some tests.  Super random pictures of trips, people, and even things I'm not so sure of.  I still have a lot to go through, but it was a good start.  While I was going through my files, I came across letters from my fourth grade pen pal.  His name was Sebastian.  He was a German, living in Paris.  We wrote only a few letters, and looking back on them we exchanged only very trivial information.  But it was still interesting to see.  All in all a good day.  It is always interesting what a trip to the past can do for us.  The knowledge we had then seems to help us even now.  Even if we interpret it differently.

Sebastian, my pen pal.

Until Tomorrow.
