January 30 2011.
Today was not a very memorable, nor historic day. But today I did watched Titanic. I have said on a few occasions that I love that movie, but I am not sure that I have said that the Titanic and the Holocaust are my two favorite historical events. Though the Civil War may be my third favorite historical event, after that I don't really know. I am not sure why I love those two historical events so much, but I do. And I have for as long as I can remember. It could be that they are the only two historical events that have epic movies to accompany their tales, but I am not guaranteeing anything. I find it interesting that almost all of the historical events that I can recall are extremely tragic events. Not to many cheerful historical moments pop into my head. But like I was once told, "as with anything in life, if you look for the negative you'll find it. If you look for the positive, you'll find it." The end of Titanic is very bitter sweet. It is very sad that they all die, but I guess everyone must die at some point in their life. But it is also so heart warming that they are all brought back together. When I was younger and thought of my idea of heaven, I thought that when you died you returned to the happiest moment in your life, to live in that moment forever. Very similar to how it ends in Titanic. As opposed to living for all eternity like a Philadelphia Cream Cheese angel. While I have lived through only a few, what I would deem, historical events, I am interested to see if anything compares to those two events for me. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Until Tomorrow.
