Braces

June 4 2025.

My doorknob jiggled like they didn't know how to open the door.

It's what woke me.

I knew it was the people coming to fix my wall.

When I opened the door he was in a bit of a shock, and wanted me to know he had the key I gave him.

I wanted to say, obviously.

He was sweet, and I explained that I wanted a better job done.

So he headed off to get supplies.

I removed the light switch plate so he wouldn't plaster anymore over it.

After he worked a bit he had me check his work.

I felt like it was fine, and so he moved on to painting.

I think he'll need to come back, but I'll give it a bit to see what all I want him to come back to do.

I thought I'd be late, but I wasn't.

I ended up having a donut for breakfast, and then setting out on catching up on all of my work.

Photos of new arrivals, cleaning Saint Laurent and The Row.

Then helped a few people.

Found a pair of shoes for someone else.

Then I went to lunch, and came back to help Young Su with some pants.

Later I cleaned up Prada, which was an unacceptable disaster.

I then ended my day helping a customer I helped 2 years ago.

I recognized him almost immediately. And I really enjoyed them, and hope they come back more often.

There was also a customer at the end of the evening still looking around after we had closed the registers.

I was like, was someone helping you?

Turns out, no one was.

I asked a few other questions, and his friend said, do you even work here? You're asking a lot of questions.

To which I said, "do you get asked a lot of questions by people who don't work here?"

I really couldn't hold that one in for some reason.

After work I took the train with Jason, got Little Caesar's for dinner, and picked up a Mister Softee on the way home.

I thought about watching something, and never figured out what I wanted to see.

So I just sat in bed on my phone.

Sawyer got braces on today, so I talked to him about that.

He wants to delete the picture, but I told him he shouldn't. He'll regret it in 20 years.

Until Tomorrow.
