Vincent

April 28 2025.

Harder waking up today, but I also set my alarm too early.

The plan was to meet at 10, but I was on track to meet at 9, so I had to slow down.

We met in the lobby to walk by the Anne Frank House.

The entrance is being renovated, or something, so it’s covered. But the original front door is still normal.

A few more blocks we arrived at an open BunBun.

I got a classic cinnamon roll, and what they call a strawberry cheesecake.

I ran to get a Pepsi, but it wasn’t easy to find. And once I found a grocery store. It wasn’t even cold, even though it was in a refrigerator.

An Uber then had difficulty getting out of the area we were in. But we arrived mostly on time to the Van Gogh museum.

It was not what I was expecting.

It didn’t have the number of works I was expecting at all.

There were some nice pieces, but the space wasn’t super friendly to maneuver.

There was also an Anselm Kiefer show there, that was inspired by some of Van Gogh’s work.

We then headed to a Louis Vuitton so Julia could get her passport holder stamped.

It’s a fun little thing they do. Each city has a unique stamp.

From there we went to De Drie Fleschjes [The Three Bottles].

It’s the oldest bar in Amsterdam.

It’s very small, but a cute set up.

We sat on a little bench and then had to go to our canal tour.

Thankfully it was just a block away from our hotel, so we dropped our things off and then headed to the boat.

We were a little early, so at first there was nothing there.

But, he eventually pulled in.

He was nice and entertaining.

They had Paprkia Pringles and Orange Fanta for me.

The tour was about 90 minutes.

It was a nice loop that showed a different part of the city I’d not seen before.

When we finished we headed back to the hotel for a quick refresh, and then headed out to In De Wildeman [Beer Tasting Room In The Wildeman].

After an hour or so there we walked to Mr Porter.

Another restaurant at the W. It’s across the street from The Duchess.

It’s on the 6th floor, and had a nice view of the city.

The food was fine, or maybe just wasn’t what I wanted to order today.

After dinner we tried to get an Uber, but had no luck. So we just walked.

My dad had to take a break because of his knee.

He’s not having a great time with it.

Back at the hotel we said goodnight, and I packed up, and Julia showered. We leave tomorrow morning for Berlin.

Until Tomorrow.
