When I ordered Coke, I got ice. When I ordered wine, I got a heavy pour.
When Julia ordered Coke, she got no ice and a semi-full cup. When Julia ordered wine, she got a sad sad cup.
I thought I woke up before my alarm, but then I looked at the time to find I was incorrect.
After going through my phone I went to get a bagel.
Then I started to pack.
It actually went so quickly I was worried I had forgotten something.
I could have actually skipped a carry-on, but opted to still bring it. Just in case Julia buys another pair of wooden shoes.
I ended up packing my Balenciaga techno clogs as well, to be thematic.
Julia and I chatted for a bit, then I got off to cut my hair.
Once I was ready I called her again, and we decided instead of just sitting at home we’d meet at the airport.
I took a cab, and slept most of the way.
She took an Uber.
Once we were at the airport, pre-check was a little bit of a line, and then security was fine.
Other than this woman with no filter. Some guy had his phone in his pocket, and they were like, you’ll need to take it out, and he said, well what am I supposed to do with it?
I’m very concerned that an adult didn’t know what to do while going through security.
Anyway, the woman was like, first, get out of the fucking line.
I thought she knew him. She did not.
Then Julia buzzed going through the metal detector, and the woman said, busted! I’m sure it’s just a random check.
Once we left one nut, we found another at Mi Casa.
I had nachos and Julia had a burrito.
And three seats left of Julia was a woman who was seated at the corner, puppy guarding her neighboring seats.
Not because anyone was joining her, it just seemed like she didn’t want anyone to sit next to her.
On our flight there were a surprising number of Hasidic Jews. And they weren’t all together. It was curious. We didn’t know what their relationship was.
At the very back of the plane we took our seats, and started our movies.
10 Things I Hate About You started us off.
I miss the Shakespeare reinterpretations. There were so many good ones, and they stopped.
Heath and Joseph are so handsome.
Atlantis: The Lost Empire was next. I love it, Julia did not.
If they did the live action remake, I’d love to see Tom and Zendaya in it.
Next we watched Beethoven. It’s a fun one that I’d basically forgotten everything about.
Then we ended with Under The Tuscan Sun.
This is a good watch, and one I’d been wanting to revisit. So I’m glad I did.
Then we landed, and I’ll call that the day there.
Until Tomorrow.
