Kind of crazy to think my last day in the world, before Covid lockdown started, was 5 years ago today.
Just revisited that blog post, very interesting.
My day today, however, was decent.
I started with talked to a client about customizing a Goyard bag he's interested in.
Then I did some other things, but nothing wild.
I had a huge return, from this guy on Saturday. It was kind of annoying, but whatever.
I had my leftover Caesar salad sandwich, and it was actually great.
Did a delivery to a client's apartment, the back of house was pretty wild.
And it was kind of annoying that it just took me a back way to then talk to the front desk. I feel like it'd make more sense if I just went straight to the front desk.
This evening we were planning our last Thai dinner with Colton, Travis, and Jason.
Travis was the one who said we needed to get the dinner on the books, and confirmed the date with me.
So I booked it all.
Everyone confirmed.
On Monday, Travis says that he needs us to reschedule.
I assume he's joking, since he and Jason say shit like that all the time. They think it's funny.
Well, today I find out he's serious.
He's canceling to do his taxes. Which I'm very confused by, since he'd just been off for two days, and who makes plans at the same time they have other plans?
So I'm very annoyed at Travis and his poor planning, and him not saying any of this in the group chat.
Now, I just assume we're still doing dinner, just minus Travis.
But then Jason is like, we can't do Thai without him!
So, we meet Colton at Thai diner, to then take him to Mission Chinese.
We ordered the addictive cabbage, salt cod fried rice, salt & pepper calamari, thrice cooked bacon and rice cakes, and the stir fried winter greens.
They were hesitant about the winter greens, but like usual, I was right. They loved them.
I caught up with Danny for the first time in ages.
I asked him how he felt that Demna was leaving Balenciaga to go to Gucci.
I'm curious what it'll look like, but I'm guessing the same shit, with a new logo.
After dinner I came home to watch the final episode of the season for Paradise.
I really enjoyed this series, and curious wha the future seasons will look like.
Tomorrow I am off, and planning a few errands.
Until Tomorrow.
