Today I thankfully slept in.
I did set an alarm to get an earlier start, but that didn't happen.
The alarm must have been turned off, and I slept until 47 texts came through in a group chat, around 1.
When I did wake up I went through my phones, went to the post office with the chocolate I got my mom, and then waited in line.
I waited in line for a bit to ask if this was the right box, which was not.
So I got the right box, and then a man in line lent me a pen.
If I would have had my bag, I would have had a pen, but I didn't.
Then I put the chocolates in this mini cooler I had with an ice pack, and sealed it up.
The girls at the Louis Vuitton counter said I needed them frozen, but I froze them last night, sent them in the cooler thinking that would be safe.
Then the girl at the post office said Grand Junction isn't in a zone that qualifies for overnight delivery.
So, my present won't arrive until Thursday.
Hopefully they're fine.
I wrapped them in cellophane twice, so fingers crossed no water damage. And just a hope that they survive in general.
While I was at the post office I talked to Julia and Hayley.
Then I came home, got ready, and headed out.
I met Anna and Kate at Torrissi.
We stood in line for about 20 minutes.
Were told they don't offer bar seats to parties of 3, but we might get in a canceled table.
So we waited, and let Anna go in.
A moment later she came out to get us.
Then when were were there, I thought the host was basically saying we'd have to come back at 7.
But, she was saying they needed the table back at 7.
We stayed til 8 I think.
They never said anything. So, I guess it wasn't pressing.
We ordered the cucumbers, octopus, and hams with zippole.
All of those were good.
And instead of a main we just did four pastas.
Tortellini pomodoro (times two), cavatelli with beef ragu, and a maccheroni amatriciana
The pomodoro was still my favorite.
We also ordered the scallop potatoes, and those were interesting.
For dessert I had the almond cheesecake again, and Kate and Anna did the affogato.
Kate took a cab home, and I walked with Anna to the Houston 1 station.
When I got home I steamed a bit, talked to Bailey and Kinley, and then Jason.
He had been called by a detective saying he'd been identified as a person of interest in a theft at Saks Off Fifth in White Plains.
Which is unbelievable on all counts.
White Plains? Saks Off Fifth?!
Probably couldn't even give him that garbage.
Anyway, I was giving him suggestions as how to prove his location for the day in question.
It made me wonder.
I mean thankfully I blog everyday, but having any real paper trail might be challenging.
Makes you stop.
Until Tomorrow.
