A Very Romy Christmas

December 18 2024.

My Christmas decorations have a nice glow.

I'm satisfied with them for this year, but I don't know what theme I'd want if I tried something different.

Movies. Travel. Classic Christmas.

Harold Lloyd, the silent film star, had a Christmas tree with over 8,000 ornaments, and I love it.

I'd seen it a number of times before I discovered it was his.

I had actually seen a few pictures of it over different years, and I just thought a bunch of people were doing similar trees.

No. Just one guy.

I do like the maximalist approach.

The work day was a full day.

I tried to get a lot wrapped up, but it just didn't happen.

Unfortunately I'm dependent on so many other people.

It's frustrating.

However, pretty much right when we opened I helped this couple (possibly Russian), with a few pieces.

He was very decisive, and then I took them to shoes.

That was a great way to start the day.

$6,000 to be more accurate.

Then I did a bunch of Prada maintenance.

We got some new arrivals.  Worked on outreach, and a few other things.

I kept very busy.

I didn't even have time for lunch.

A client I'd been wanting to come in did, and said he'll be back tomorrow.

I'd like to have him connect me with his brother, he seems like he shops as well. Just not sure where.

After work I came home to get Chipotle, and watched A Christmas To Remember.

It was with Mira Sorvino, or Romy from Romy & Michele's High School Reunion.

The movie was a bit like Overboard, but not as good.

I have the dentist tomorrow, and then work, and then dinner with Colton.

Until Tomorrow.
