Phebe's

March 1 2017.

I woke up to rain knocking at my window.  Not a great sound when I have intentions of wandering around outside all day.

I get ready, and run to the dollar store to get a Pepsi.  There were only two cashiers, but the three people in front of me had full on groceries.  The cashier finishes one guy, is halfway through with the next customer and the guy he'd just finished says something about the prices, and decides to return everything he just got.

Who the fuck are you?!

So I put my stuff away and left, I'm like no way in hell am I sitting through this.

Then I met Julia after I got myself a donut and a Pepsi.

We wandered a number of galleries, but only John McCracken and Tara Donovan proved to be memorable.

John's pieces I always enjoy, and Tara's as well actually.  Her works were stacked cards that created the below.  So the dark is space and the white is the card; very cool in person.

Halfway through the galleries we went to lunch at Cookshop, it wasn't bad.  I don't know how great I thought it was.

After the rest of the galleries we went to Barneys to kill time.  Nothing much to note, other than the fact it's a complete mess.  They desperately need me.

Then we still had some time to kill before I was supposed to meet my friend Phoebe for dinner, so I suggested we go to Blue Hill for a drink.

Our best friends were there, and a few of our other friends were.  I noticed one of the guys was not, but we are working on it.

Then I headed to dinner at Phebe's with Pheobe and two of her friends.  We had a nice time, but forgot to take a photo.  Next time.

Now I'm home.  Had my last donut, and I'm off to bed.  Still no plans Saturday.

Also saw this random Elmgreen and Dragset piece.  They did the Marfa Prada store, this was a pretty cool piece.
