European Statecation
February 1 2011. Today I woke up thinking that work would be canceled due to the extreme temperatures... but no. So I worked an average day making me feel like I had moved to Siberia on a whim. Then later I picked Julia up on campus to go get dinner. We went to Pizzeria Locale, a new place that is beautiful inside, and very delicious cuisine. Even Julia had a few options to pick from. Getting the feeling I was in Naples with the fine pizza dining experience. After dinner we went back to her place and watched Valentino The Last Emperor, since she had never seen it. Making me feel a little Roman, while getting that glimpse of Paris. Then we quizzed each other from my new book Trivial Pursuit. Greatest book/purchase ever. After today's events I feel a bit like I have traveled Europe. And I guess technically Eurasia, but I don't consider Europe and Asia separate continents. Even though people do. Russia just seems to be so blurry with it's border, thus I choose to blur the border as well. So even though I had wish for the day off so that I could spend it in bed, it ended up being a nice little adventure across Europe around Boulder.
