The Last (1)5 Years

May 23 2025.

Slept until 1ish, I think, and then made my way through my usual routine.

After I picked up my bagel sandwich, I came home to watch Dumplin'.

I just love the movie. I really enjoy any movie with Jennifer Aniston has a Southern accent through.

While I watched, I steamed, and took out the recycling.

I am thinking I want to buy a spider plant, they are good for air filtration. I wonder if they help with odors.

There's also a plant I was looking at for humidity.

I'm not a plant person, but I think I might try to keep them small.

Once I was ready I handed to meet Adriane at Olive Garden.

I hadn't seen her in ages, but she and James are moving to Seattle, so we did dinner and the theater before they she left.

She was the first person to come visit me when I lived her the first time.

15 years ago she came for a week for her birthday, and we had such a nice time.

We went to see The Phantom Of The Opera, the Met, Swan Lake, my first art gallery (Gagosian) to see Monet, and the High Line (when it was like 10 blocks long), and Carrie's stoop.

Tonight after dinner we went to see The Last Five Years.

Which is a full circle kind of moment as well.

Morgan, who I lived in her New York apartment those first few months in 2010 while she went to California, introduced me to the musical The Last Five Years.

I love the music, and was glad I finally got to see the stage version.

They did a good job, but it wasn't the production I wanted to see.

I know it's a minimal show, but neither were as talented as the two from the original cast that I loved so much.

But I'm glad I saw it.

Lauren Church has left me in New York once before, and she came back. Maybe she'll do it again.

Now in bed scrolling, and off to bed soon.

Until Tomorrow.
