I had the day off today, so it was spent sleeping in, finishing Overcompensating season one, and going to a birthday party.
I really did enjoy Overcompensating, and am looking forward to the second season.
The birthday party was for Matt, and was at Matt and Nick's new place.
It's on the wavy part of 28th Street, which is a place I've seen since I moved here.
It really is a unique block.
Their new place was nice, and they've almost finished moving in.
They had a soft theme of Dame Maggie Smith, who I of course love.
It was supposed to be a costume party, but I think only one person came in a sort of costume.
I'm glad I didn't wear my nun's habit.
I got to see Drew, who was a coworker of Julia and Nick's at Davio's, so it was nice to catch up with him.
And I met Carl, or Karl, a friend of Nick's from college.
We also had a Baked Alaska, which I don't think I've ever had before, because of the alcohol.
If I were to ever get it in a restaurant I'd ask for no flambé, and I'd probably really enjoy it.
Until Tomorrow
