The Armory Show

March 4 2017.

It might have looked nice out today, but it was fucking cold, and windy.  Not a great combination.

I met a new friend named Zachary (this is a real person, not me being funny and saying I went with myself), at Pier 94 for The Armory Show.

We got our VIP pass scanned, checked our coats, and started art gazing.

The place was set up like Basel, just smaller.  While it felt large, I'd guess it's about a quarter of the size.

We saw some nice photography, which I usually don't love.  And we also saw some new Anish Kapoor mirrors, and a few different pieces from Jose Davila.

Somewhere in the middle I got a sandwich.  Even though the sandwiches are pre-made I still had to wait like 20 minutes.

So they finally call my name and this other Zach says it's his, but they forgot to give him his salad.  And I was like, I'm sure that's mine.  And he was like, you're not the only Zach.  And I was like, no I understand that, but wouldn't it stand to reason that if this isn't your full order, but it is my full order, that it is in fact my order?

So the guys end up taking my sandwich and getting them to grab them a salad.

Five minutes later they call Zach, and I go to grab it, and there with the sandwich is the salad.

Fucking assholes.

So Zachary and I go to find seats, and I see the other Zach and his douchebag of a friend and say, yeah this was your order, because I didn't order the salad.  I told you that was mine.  And he's like, oh.  Sorry.  And I'm like, do you want the salad?  I'd never eat that.

It was my attempt at being passive aggressive.

We were there for less than three hours.

Then I came home to eat my pizza, watch the last episode of How To Get Away With Murder, and start looking up things to do in London.

Julia and I are sick of talking about, so we are just going to go.

I'm looking at upcoming art shows, and such, to see when would be best.  I'll then check any Paris events because we wanted to do a quick pit stop there.

I've started to develop quite the list so I'm sure this will utilize a great deal of my time for the next few months.
