Harry & Ida's

February 21 2017.

Even though I set my alarm for noon today, I got up at 11:30 because my cleaning lady makes her own God damn schedule.

So I wake up earlier than I would have liked on my day off and felt rushed to get out of her way, so I stepped out to get some almond milk and some vitamin C tablets.

I then came home to eat my cereal in the family room while I waited for my room to be cleaned.

Once it was ready I hung out for a while, and then showered and got ready.

I then headed south.

The East Village was the destination of today's adventure.

A friend and I hung out for a little, then decided we should get some food.

We headed towards Harry & Ida's Meat And Supply Co., but a few blocks away I stopped in front of Tompkins Square Bagels and decided that sounded better.

So I created my own bagel sandwich that turned out to be very good, and very reasonably priced.  I think the same thing cost more in Grand Junction to be honest.

Then we killed some time at a coffee shop that has a barber shop in it.  It makes no sense to me, and everyone was getting the same fucking haircut, but everyone seemed to be a regular even though the place had only been open a few months.

One of the haircut guys was very touchy feely, and I don't know.  Not very professional in my book.  But hey, they sell coffee as a front for a barber shop, I don't think they're going for professional.

So after we'd killed about two hours I was kind of hungry again.

This time we actually went to Harry & Ida's Meat And Supply Co.  I thought it was decent, but the bread wasn't anything desirable, which is basically the whole point of a sandwich.  Which is a little depressing because it's one of the spots that's been on my NYC food list the longest.

We hung out at his place a little while after and I headed home.

I at least tackled two of my food spots on my list, as well as ordering a refill on my sweating prescription.  So a successful day I'd say.

Until Tomorrow.

Side Note: I guess I didn't die, but let the post of February 20 2017 be my official Will until further notice.
